The Lincoln Continental remains mostly unchanged for 2020, though the trim lineup has been simplified by rolling the two lowest trim levels together into a "standard" trim. Since pricing has been left alone, the base model Continental now offers a slightly better value than it did last year.
The Lincoln Continental is offered with a choice of three powerful V6 engines. The base engine is a 3.7L V6 making 305 hp. A 2.7L turbocharged V6 makes 335 hp and though horsepower only jumps by about 30 over the 3.7L, the 2.7L's torque is an astonishing 380 lb-feet. The top-of-the-line engine is a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6, making an even 400 hp. Opting for the most powerful engine also adds all-wheel drive, with the only transmission option being a 6-speed automatic.
Three trim levels are available with the Continental: Standard, Reserve and Black Label (which is only available at participating Lincoln Black Label Dealers). Standard trims are powered by the 3.7L engine, while the 2.7L powers the Reserve and Black Label, though the 3.0L V6 is optional.
The Standard trim comes equipped with 18-inch wheels, adaptive HID headlights with LED daytime running lights, heated power mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear seat vents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with buttons to control the audio and climate control systems, rear-seat reading lamps, three different power outlets, wood trim, the Lincoln Connect infotainment system with onboard 4G Wi-Fi hotspot and MyLincoln Mobile App. New standard safety technologies include adaptive cruise control and Co-Pilot360, Lincoln's advanced safety suite which provides a rearview camera, blind-spot warning and emergency braking.
Reserve Continentals come with 24-way powered heated and cooled front seats featuring Bridge of Weir leather trimming, tri-zone climate control, power-folding rear head restraints, a hands-free trunk lid, a Revel 13-speaker sound system and heated rear seats.
Black Label trims feature rain-sensing wipers, premium LED headlights, 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, 30-way power adjustable front seats, Venetian leather upholstery, plus optional themed interior treatments such as Chalet, Thoroughbred and Rhapsody, which provide color-matched premium leathers, door inserts and headliners with exotic wood inlays.
Options abound on the Continental, including stylish 19- or 20-inch wheels, a twin-panel moonroof, an active parking assist system, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a 30-way adjustable driver's seat, a Revel premium sound system and more. A rear-seat package with reclining, heating and cooling is also available.
